A thousand members of Kauman’s Moslem communities have held
a mass prayer. In order to perform tahlil, for their ancestors.
Thereafter, They’ve conducted a ritual procession of 40
biers. From jalan pemuda until The Grand Mosque of Kauman at johar, Semarang. Thus,
This procession is aimed to recall all human against their death after the
process of their life. In this world, and the biers are a symbolic of the vehicles that accompany
them into the graves. So, during this time, They recite a great deal of tahlil and
kalimah sahadah to accompany the corpse into their graves. Yet, formerly They
seem to pray before the corpse. So that, The noble will accompany them. On
their journey, to meet the Lord of All
the Worlds.
This procession series. Is a reflection of the human’s live and
death which consist of 40 stages, beside a spiritual meaning.
